St.Gallen, Switzerland, February 2018 – Volvo Cars remains the exclusive automobile partner at START Hack and Summit. Since the cooperation started in 2017 the partnership has proven to be long-term. Not only does Volvo support START by making Switzerland’s biggest Volvo car-fleet available during START Summit, but they are also sending an IT team from Volvo Cars’ headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, to START Hack to accommodate a case challenge on gamified car sharing.
The Swedish premium car manufacturer demonstrates a high involvement in cutting edge technologies for instance through the establishment of a new joint venture called Zenuity to develop software for autonomous driving and driver assistance systems. With Volvo Cars’ intent to maintain the leading position for relevant technologies it seemed a natural step to support START and hence the establishment of a digital ecosystem in the DACH-Region and Europe.
