FEMALE ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Did you know that according to Crunchbase only 2.3% of Venture Capital funds goes into female-lead startups in Latin America? We at START Fellowship want to take action! We strive to provide our female entrepreneurs with opportunities to increase their chances of gaining investments as a female-lead startup.

HOW DO WE ACHIEVE OUR GOAL?


We aim to give our female entrepreneurs opportunities they usually do not have by giving them access to female entrepreneurial focused workshops, networking opportunities, mentors, and pitching training.

PITCHING TRAINING

We collaborate with female Venture Capital funds whose investment thesis is centered around supporting female founders, and who are committed to providing pitching training to our female founders.

WORKSHOPS

We have workshops dedicated to helping our female entrepreneurs which cover topics such as recognizing and dealing with funding bias, how to deal with male power abuse in entrepreneurship, and how to navigate around a male-dominated industries.

NETWORKING

We invite our female fellows to exclusive networking events oriented around female entrepreneurship. Such events allow our female fellows to meet other female entrepreneurs and expand their entrepreneurial networks.


MENTORSHIP

We believe in the power of role models, so we organize each of our female entrepreneurs in our batch to have at least one female mentor to guide them throughout their journey in the accelerator. These female mentors are investors or successful female founders who provide excellent advice and can help their female fellow further expand their networks.

Currently, we tackle pathogen resistance in agriculture and enhance food stability with biocolorants, replacing preservatives.
